The simplest way to put it is thank you in advance. When Susanna of Shelton thinks of the Stratford VNA, she smiles about the visiting nurse who enables her dad to proudly tell everyone that he still lives in the same house he bought when he was first married 55 years ago. Susanna's dad, and others like him, get occupational therapy in the comfort of his own home, rather than in a convalescent home, since suffering a stroke. Stratford's VNA newly launched Telemedicine program gives Jeffery of Stratford the freedom to have his congestive heart failure managed at home, thanks to a monitoring device that detects and transmits subtle changes in his blood pressure, weight, and glucose levels. Over in Fairfield, Helen knows she can count on the Stratford VNA to make getting her annual flu shot easy. Even in Milford, Evelyn is thankful that the Stratford VNA's Fall Prevention program helped her make her home safer to navigate. She is a bit more unsteady on her feet than she used to be. Since 1919, the non-profit Stratford VNA has been helping families throughout the region maintain their quality of life-and their dignity-in the comfort of their own homes. Our staff has provided more than a half a million visits to patients from Westport through the New Haven region in the past 20 years. "Need" does not take a break. Stratford VNA needs your assistance. Please consider a tax-deductible donation to your VNA. You can be confident that 100% of your donation is used to support those who are less fortunate, as we do not use fund raising professionals. Unlike Many other agencies, the Stratford VNA is governed by a voluntary local board, is Joint Commission accredited, Medicare-certified and licensed by the state. Not all agencies are. Your donation will continue to support our community and allow the Stratford VNA to develop new programs to serve you and your neighbors. If you would like to make a donation, or help with volunteer work, please do not hesitate to contact us. We appreciate your help and generosity. We would like to thank the following 2009 donors for their generosity. $1 to under $20 $20 to under $50 Helene Aiello Frank J.
