Meet the Board Members
The members of our Board of Directors are prominent members of the community, who selflessly donate their time and expertise.
Chairman Ronald Nolting Ron Nolting attended Sacred Heart University, and in 1983 received a Bachelors of Science in Accounting. He then went on to receive a Masters of Science in Financial Management from Fairfield University in 1996. In 2003 he graduated from the National School of Banking. Ron coaches basketball for St. Mark's in Stratford, and is also on their Finance Committee. Ron is also a PONY baseball coach.
First Vice Chairperson Marie Guman Marie Guman, who joined the Board of the Stratford VNA in 2005, graduated from Anna Marie College in Worcester, MA and completed her graduate work at Southern Connecticut State University. In 1992 she joined Stratford Senior Services as Outreach Coordinator and in 1999 became Outreach and Program Supervisor. Marie is a member of the Connecticut Association of Senior Center Personnel, the Greater Bridgeport Elderly Services Council, Stratford's Citizens Addressing Racial Equity and Stratford's BEST Committee. She is also and active member of St. Catherine of Siena parish in Trumbull. She and her husband George, parents of four children, reside in Stratford.
Second Vice Chairperson Tamara Trojanowski Tamara (Tammy) Trojanowski has been with the Town of Stratford as the Community Services Assistant Director since 1986. She is responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating prevention and youth development programs. In addition, she provides staff support to the Stratford Youth and Family Advisory Board and Citizens Addressing Racial Equity (CARE). In 1996, she was honored as a Stratford Board of Education Friend of Education and in 2007 she received the MADD Youth Leadership Award and the RYASAP Above and Beyond Award. Tammy has a Master's degree in Human Services Administration and is a Certified Prevention Professional. She serves on the Connecticut Youth Services Association Board of Directors, is a member of the First Congregational Church of Stratford and is a mentor with the Stratford Public Schools. She lives in Stratford with her husband, Greg, and two children, Elizabeth and Kenny.
Third Vice Chairperson Kristen Jacob Treasurer Neil Ortoli Neil Ortoli is a former Stratford resident, and now resides in Shelton. He has been with Metlife as a financial planner for the past 46 years. Neil is happily married with four children and twelve grandchildren. He enjoys playing racquetball and reading as a hobby.

Rev. Julie-Ann Silberman-Bunn Rev. Julie-Ann Silberman-Bunn is minister to and with the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Bridgeport, located on Chapel Street in Stratford, a position she began in September 2004, following a 12 year ministry in Kent, Ohio. The church was established in Stratford in 1836, moved to Bridgeport where P.T. Barnum was a loyal member, and returned to Stratford in 1957. The congregation's focus on community has led Julie-Ann to participate in the Stratford Clergy Association, which she now serves as Vice President. She is an active participant in interfaith and ecumenical services at Thanksgiving, Martin Luther King Day, Easter Sunrise, and the annual Holocaust memorial service, and has preached at many of them. Rev. Silberman-Bunn is also an active member of the newly formed Southern Connecticut Sponsoring Committee organizing for interfaith community action in Fairfield and New Haven counties. She is a trained All-Options and reproductive choice counselor for the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice. As well as a trained pastoral counselor with two units of clinical pastoral education and additional training in medical bioethics, she has also taught a course entitled "Religion and Medicine" to first year medical students. Julie-Ann lives in Seymour with her husband Ken and two stepsons Adam and Ian.

Lynne Southerland Lynne is a volunteer tutor, and also is involved in child care. She frequently participates in Community Services clubs and events, and has become very involved in Church Ministries.

C. Joseph Rivers Executive Director C. Joseph Rivers is the Managing Director of the Spruce Street Company, a self owned management consulting company that specializes in the management of nonprofit associations. He serves as Executive Director of the National Father's Day / Mother's Day Council, Inc. Prior business associations have been with the YMA, Fashion Scholarship Fund, The Frederick Atkins Corporation and Sears. He is a graduate of Stratford High School and the University of Connecticut. His current and past community participation includes, Stratford Waterfront and Harbor Commission, Lordship Improvement Association, Stratford Republican Town Committee, First District Republican Committee, The Lordship Fathers Club, Protect Your Environment (PYE), The Tide Harbor Condominium Association, Bird Bay Village (FL), Phase V Advisory Committee, The University of Connecticut Alumni Association, The Madison Avenue Sports Car Driving and Chowder Society, and The Stratford Raybestos Advisory Committee. Mr. Rivers is also a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) Fraternity. He is married to Suzanne Dickson Rivers and they have three children and six grandchildren together. They reside in the Lordship section of Stratford as well as in Venice, Florida.
Alec Voccola Alec Voccola is a D.A.R.E. Instructor, and is also the Middle School Resource Officer for the Stratford Middle Schools.
